Review of Los Angeles County Local Control and Accountability Plans (LCAPs) - Summary Tables

This spreadsheet is a companion tool to the recently released report, Los Angeles LCAPs Reviewed: How did the 80+ Los Angeles County school districts address the needs of foster youth in their Year 1 Local Control and Accountability Plans?, also available on the Education Coordinating Council (ECC) website. At the request of the ECC, a group of child welfare and education advocacy and policy organizations reviewed the 80+ Year 1 LCAPs of Los Angeles County school districts through a lens of how districts addressed the educational needs of foster youth. This spreadsheet provides summary tables for each school district, identifying goals, actions and services, and/or funding specifically targeted for foster youth, as well as attendance-specific and other leveraging opportunities through broader school-wide and district-wide investments that will improve the education of students in foster care. Please review the aforementioned narrative report for more information on the data limitations of this summary spreadsheet -- but, please note that this spreadsheet presents preliminary and tentative findings. We hope, however, that readers find these summaries helpful, particularly as school districts and its partners work on Year 2 LCAPs.
