Dedicated Foster Care Funding Foster Care LVUSD will provide specilalized services and options beyond the core academic program.

Students in the Las Virgenes Unified School District will be provided with additional support through implementation of multi-tiered systems of support, professional development, parent support and access to visual and performing arts.

2015 - 16 $12,000 Leveraging Opportunity All LVUSD students will be grade level competent in reading and writing (based on Common Core Standards) by the end of their third grade year. (Year 1)
75% of students will be reading at grade level at the end of grade 3 (SBAC ELA and District purchased readig assessment.
44% increase of students with disabilities will be reading at grade level by the end of grade 3
80% of students will be reading on grade level at the end of each grade level (TK-2) as measured by the district purchased reading assessment.
70% of students will be writing on grade level at the end of each grade level (TK-3) as measured by the district purchased writing assessment.

Research and provide research based, specifically designed intervention in reading and writing for students at risk for not achieving grade level standards including low income students and English learners.
